Calcium supplements are necessary for birds and small mammals where dietary intake is inadequate. Calcium is critical for the normal functioning of many body systems, but especially for bone formation and egg laying.

Regular use in all seed eating birds will ensure adequate calcium for strong bones, muscle formation and general well being. Contains Vitamin D3 to maximise calcium absorption in the gut. Supports shell formation and the normal development of bones in young birds. Can also be used as an emergency oral calcium supplement for egg bound or critically deficient birds.

Recommended for: All birds on seed diets, particularly during the breeding season.

Can use with: Calcivet will greatly enhance available calcium in the birds diet; additional vitamins and mineral supplements are recommended for birds on seed diets.

Directions:

In Water - 20 mL per Litre of drinking water.

On food - 40 mL per Kilogram of soft or wet feed.

Direct administration - 2 mL/Kg Body Weight (0.2 mL/100g).

Active Constituents: Calcium Ions 33 mg/mL, Vitamin D3 25 IU/mL

Key features: Re-establishes natural gut flora after infections, diarrhoea, stress and the use of antibiotics. Can be mixed in water, food or used with other brands of hand rearing products to enhance gut flora of babies. Strong natural gut flora will increase an animals resistance against infectious organisms in the digestive system and improve the ability to digest food.

Recommended for: Baby birds being reared on a formula not produced by Vetafarm, birds recovering from illness or birds that have recently been treated with antibiotics.
